Manufacturing Capabilities

At the heart of our operations is our 70,000-square-foot custom manufacturing facility in Monticello, Iowa, purpose-built to handle projects of any scale, from a single replacement chair to a full restaurant buildout. The facility houses a full range of specialized departments: cabinetry and casework, furniture assembly, upholstery and sewing, metal working, welding and fabrication, wood machining, laser cutting, and packaging and shipping, all under one roof.

Our metal fabrication department is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and robotics, including a metal laser, metal folder, and press brake, delivering precise cuts and automated workflows for consistent, high-quality output at scale. We also operate a large finish room dedicated to wood and metal products, along with a dedicated paint line featuring powder coating capabilities, ensuring every finish holds up to the rigors of daily commercial use.

This integrated approach means we can take a project from raw material to a finished, shippable product entirely in-house, without relying on outside vendors or subcontractors, which keeps lead times shorter and quality control tighter.

Product Range and Customization

Oak Street manufactures and distributes a full spectrum of restaurant furnishings, giving customers a true single-source solution for outfitting a dining space:

Table tops are available both as quick-ship, in-stock options for fast turnaround and as fully custom-manufactured pieces built to order, in a wide range of laminate finishes, wood stains, and sizes.

Seating includes restaurant dining chairs in both metal-frame and wood-frame construction, along with barstools in stationary and swivel configurations, plus a dedicated line of outdoor seating built for weather exposure.

Booths and benches are offered in vinyl/upholstered and wood/laminate styles, with the ability to build custom shapes and configurations, L-shapes, U-shapes, curved banquettes, circular booths, and double-sided custom tiers, tailored to a restaurant's exact floor plan.

Table bases come in black stamped steel, chrome-plated stamped steel, mild steel, and community base styles for shared or communal table setups.

Our outdoor line extends dining capacity beyond four walls with furniture engineered to withstand the elements.

Casework rounds out the offering with waste receptacles, waiter/waitress stations, and host/hostess stations, along with sanitation equipment for back-of-house and front-of-house needs alike.

What sets Oak Street apart is the depth of customization available across every category. Customers can specify custom metal-frame furniture, custom-size table tops, community bases, booths, and banquettes, custom cabinetry and casework, and custom stains with stain matching to an existing palette. On the upholstery side, we offer custom laminate table tops and custom or specialty vinyl and upholstery, including the ability to work from a customer's own existing design or supplied material. Whether a customer brings us a rough concept or a fully specified design, our team partners with them from concept through delivery to bring that vision to life.

To support these locations and this manufacturing capacity, Oak Street operates three distribution points, our Monticello, Iowa campus (which also includes a 50,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility and 4,000 square feet of corporate and sales offices) and a major distribution center in Statesville, North Carolina, ensuring fast, affordable shipping to restaurant operators nationwide.
